View Full Version : Official Drive to Lake Saguaro Thread (Arizona)
DasAutokerl 11-16-2003, 03:48 PM Ok, It's less than a week away. Let's get an attendance of who's coming. We should also come up with a place to meet and probably a place to stop and grab some food afterwards.
Date of Drive: Saturday, November 22, 2003.
Crazy Dave 11-16-2003, 03:53 PM My 2 front tires are about to go...who can I ride shotty with?
DasAutokerl 11-17-2003, 07:18 PM Bump.
So we have:
Crazy Dave
Frenoy
AZN_M5
Fast321
put me down for a maybe......still need to fix my suspension.
also, what time is this gonna happen on saturday? cuz i may or may not have to go into work for a little bit that nite (btw matt/frenoy, if u still need a part time job, they're getting desperate for another food runner...in other words, ur pretty much guaranteed to get in if u apply)

J - give me a call this week, im all yours.. my vans back in working order, and im taking the 320is apart to diagnose the leak tomorrow.
Dave - take a ride on the wild side in an E21. My pass seat is open. (no offense taken if you decide to hit up a ride in an M ;) )
RC///M3 11-18-2003, 01:50 AM im in if im back from cali with my new ///M3
AzN_M5 11-18-2003, 02:35 AM Yep, I'm in.
What route do we want to take? 60 to Power Rd and then all the way North?
We could also try something new and just start in Fountain Hills down the B Line.
If we take the 60 to Power Rd, lets meet at Krispy Kreme at AZ Mills like we usually do at say 9:30 AM. We'll take the freeway, get to Saguaro, get some pictures and then go back to that Chilis that we stopped at last time at Power Rd and Mckellips.
How does that sound guys?
DasAutokerl 11-18-2003, 03:04 AM Hey, the 3's next to the e. Give a guy a break!
DasAutokerl 11-18-2003, 03:07 AM Yeah. Krispy Kreme to I-60 to Power works, or Fountain Hills. I'm up for whatever. Krispy Kreme is probably better known as far as where to meet goes. 9:30 AM eh? :orangesle hehe

I'm sorry, all I heard was "bitch, bitch, bitch"
Yeah, Krispy Kreme at AZ Mills at 9:30 AM sounds good.
We'll take the 60 to Power Rd.
Chris
how 'bout we meet up in scottysdale.....take shea to the beeline...to the 202....to power rd....then to saguaro lake
wait, is there anything special on the beeline? or is that route good only if we stop by the big 'o fountain in the hills
edit: lol, k n/m what am i talkin about, krispey kreme is closer for me :)
AzN_M5 11-18-2003, 04:05 AM I think the B-Line is a better drive.
I change my vote.
Here is the new plan.
Lets meet at the parking lot of the Chilis we always go to at Shea and the 101. I figure they won't really be open anyway. We'll meet at 9:30 AM.
Yes, that's right...9:30 AM, WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!
Then we'll take Shea all the way to the B-Line highway where we will head south to Saguaro lake. I've been told it is actually a nice winding drive.
Chris
AzN_M5 11-18-2003, 04:11 AM http://www.mapquest.com/maps/refreshmap.adp?pan=w&rand=9702
Here is the majority of I-87, I'm sure it's much windier than that, but it would add a nice desert drive to our cruise.
So lets go with it, we never have done it before, so may as well take it for a shot.
We can still continue South bound down it to go to Chilis on Mcdowell and I-87 like we did last time.
Chris
Crazy Dave 11-18-2003, 10:31 AM Good, I'd rather meet up in Fountain Hills! Make all you southerners drive up this way (a whole 5 minutes I know). What time are we gonna be wrapping up saturday?
DasAutokerl 11-18-2003, 10:48 AM Chris: you may now shove it. :biglaughb :stickoutt
AzN_M5 11-18-2003, 01:45 PM I love you too Fren.
Dave, I figure we'll be done probably early afternoon i.e. 3:00.
DasAutokerl 11-18-2003, 01:52 PM ;)
MattE21 11-18-2003, 03:31 PM My vote's for the Beeline as well.. that chili's is right off the 101, you cant miss it, unless you're me ;)
9:30 is great by me.. and that chili's is nice, new and the server was on Speed! (i think i had 9 DrPeppers last time lol)
AzN_M5 11-20-2003, 05:40 PM Well, it seems like there is a lack of interest for Saturday's drive.
Perhaps we should postpone it to a date where more people can attend. This one seems like a bust.
What do you guys think?
If enough people still want to go, I'll be there...
Chris
DasAutokerl 11-20-2003, 06:22 PM I still want to go. We have like what... 6 or so people going and 4 cars? :az:
MattE21 11-20-2003, 06:33 PM i want to go, but i need the day to fix my emissions problem
AzN_M5 11-20-2003, 08:58 PM I guess it would be best to call it off and plan it for another day.
As it's looking right now
FastE21 needs to fix something, Jbob is fixing something, Arcticsilverm3 hasn't responded, Dave's car is kind of under repairs.
And then who knows if ///RC M3 is coming, we don't know if he got his m3.
Lets just plan on meeting up at the Pavillions that night and hanging out.
Chris
DasAutokerl 11-20-2003, 09:53 PM Bah, now early Saturday's gunna be boring. :bawl

I'm pretty sure RC got his M3, but is parting it out or something. Doubt he'd be joining us.
We can get Matt's car going tomorrow probably. Not sure what's up with jbob...haven't seen him online for a while. We should still try and do it. :stickoutt
AzN_M5 11-20-2003, 10:24 PM Ok, well let me know then.
I'm game if you guys are.
Chris
k, as it stands, my car won't be able to make it....just replaced a strut housing tonite and it didn't change anything......so i gotta replace one or two other suspension components (i might be doing that all saturday as well :( )
Crazy Dave 11-21-2003, 10:52 AM No drive? I for sure cant take mine. I've got plans for the evening, so I'll have to opt out of anything planned for that.
DasAutokerl 11-21-2003, 11:23 AM Ok, well I guess it's off. I'll be free all Saturday, so I'm up for helping to fix up FastE21 and jbob. I'll be at Pavs also...anyone else goin'?

Hey Dave, what's up with your car? Tires or something?
MattE21 11-21-2003, 12:00 PM :dunno Work day at my place? :dunno
Im solving the emissions problem and changing my oil sat. morning at 7Am anyone that wants to come over and hang out/help/chill is cool anytime in the morning or afternoon.. Post up if interrested and ill plan on having a BBQ for everyone then. So lets come and chill at Matt's (fastE21)'s place saturday -- wash cars - roll to pavs - BBQ - oil change and whatnot..
\
Jason, don't know if your car can roll on over to my place, but im down to help you if ucan get it here or perhaps i can go over when im done with mine :dunno
let me know.. oh, also, i think an E21 fits on my trailor,.... :dunno lol if u want to try that
Crazy Dave 11-21-2003, 12:33 PM I'd be down to go lend a hand...
And Matt, yeah the tires are absolute crap on the front. I'd give them another week or two before they're bye bye. James is hooking me up with some new ones here soon hopefully (hint hint James) lol. Chris fixed up the leak in the tranny, so I still need to do that...but thats not as important, if that goes, its 5 speed time. Im at 70k miles within the next week, so its just a lot of the normal crap that I need to take care of.
