most of this rims are there, they range in price from 500 a set to 1200 a set (the alpinas) all ready to mount.
You gotta check other websites and ebay. Most of the rims have the same design though, maybe it was the rage 20 years ago

www.2002parts.com has a whole section on wheels from 13inch to 16inch that will fit the e21

Anyone on the yahoo forum, there is also a index of photos there of wheels available with the correct offset for E21's. Most wheels are vintage though like the ones Yonker's posted.

Damn I need some wheels, Hey this sounds a little fishy. I emailed the guys from AbrahamsMotorsport and they told me that thier Alpina kopi's will wit all the way around on my car even though its dropped with their 215/17/40 without spacers? Is this true can a 17x7.5 fit on the fronts and rears? The offset is 20... I dunno, but I wish they made them in 16 since I want to go down in size, not diggen the 17's these days. All I know is I need some wheels.
On a side note has anyone checked out the BBS's (http://www.bbs-japan.co.jp/) site? They may have a few in stock that will mount up to e21's without spacers, check it out sometime...

If you can go down a size, do it. My rims a 16x 7.5 with 205/40, I think you will be hitting something with that 215 tire. I know that I am pretty close to the sturts, I think you will need spacers.

i love those bbs' they are my ideal set of rims.. once the rest of the car is done

17x7 with 205 40 17, fits perfect, et40 with 20mm spacers

CCa's Roundel mag. did an article (two paragraphs short) on this wheel back in the early 80's. Basically, it's a good knock-off looking wheel of the ever-so-popular BBS RS and it's a cheap route to +1 sizing.

How much should I pay for these restored ALPINA's 15x7, et 12, with New Pirelli's P700 205/50/15? Or how much without the tires?

i could think of about 900 other things to spend $900 on.

u said refinished.. i assume some more work than that was needed - $100+ a wheel

so 800 minimum there .. then the value of the rims b/c they are alpina and rare... i'd say + another 100 a wheel for the rims, 11 or 1200 i would offer.. but thats me and if i had the $$$$

i'll say a G just for the rims, plus say 100 for each tire.......Alpinas, even restored are over 1000 bucks here in the East Coast

dammit, why do alpinas have to cost soo dam much......i think the only way to get a good/descent deal is to buy them off someone who has no clue what they are.

I live in socal. Married, three kids. I've owned a 79 320i, 82 320i, 88 528e, 88 735i and just bought this 81 320i for $500. Put new paint, new carpet, tint, rims, woofers. I put on sun-bleached clear corners two days ago but haven't taken pictures yet. I have a stock "is" air dam. I body isn't perfect but good enough for right now. I also own a 98 Explorer but I'm going to trade it in and get a 98-99 740i. That's about it.

i almost got a set of alpinas for 750 (no tires)....they were in pretty good shape, but had curb-rash all over the lips (could've been a little bent, but i dunno)

if u know the weight & dimensions of the box's they'll be shipped in, UPS & FEDEX (and maybe usps) can give u estimates. but i'd imagine it wouldn't be too cheap.......u may be better off just driving up to the bay area (borrow the family/friend car or something :D ). speed limit, it's like a 6 hr drive (5 hrs in LA traffic, 1 hr on the highway, lol j/k)


hey jdbowls...welcome aboard! :) yeah those rims are old school...80's styling at it's best! i think i've only seen one other pic of those same rims on an e21 (and maybe they made ones in 5-lug, cuz i could've sworn seeing an older 5 or 7 series wearing similiar triangle wheels)

Yea I still have my Centra wheels when I got the car off my dad they had these on them, no offence but these wheels are not to my liking I still have them if you wanna another set...
Matt picking them up would be too much of a hasle you figure gas would be the same as shipping let alone I might need a hotel about a 7 hour drive each way...

Yeah, my rims are either you love'em or hate'em. I don't love'em but they are alright for now.

Its in April about the second saterday, its held at Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara, only bimmers in the show, then we go on a highway run in a massive caravan of ~400 bimmers running their asses off... :pimpflash

cj - i had no idea it was that war of a drive .. know anyone there that could meet you halfway? in my experience with rims, you are going to want to see them in person to really decide on a price and if you want them or not.

I bought mine from Texas and ups charged me 7 dollars for each rim, I think with tires it should be around 20 each....They go by weight not the size of the box unless you want air shipping....

WOW 7 bucks each, thats not bad at all, I was also thinking about Greyhound bus services I know they are really cheap on shipping just have to meet them there at the station to pick up your package. Also Matt this guys has lots and lots of pictures and they were just professionaly refinished with new ALPINA center caps, and he says they are perfect condition and are perfectly straight. From what I saw they look like they just came from the factory and are worth every penny...hopefully I can get them...

I just sold 16" alpinas from e30 for 350eur. They where not in good condition...

i seen Alpinas are cheaper in Europe, almost like regular aftermarket rims...... How much are a set of Schimdts Revolutions over there in Latvia?

Of all the rims posted, I like those new BBS rims the most! The ones that blitzed310 posted have 4-Lugs but when I go to the BBS website all I see are 5-Lug wheels that look identical!
Can anyone help me? :help
I've tried looking at ebay to find nice wheels but there are hardly any that I like that will ship to CANADA!
I guess I'll have to look at some local shops although I don't know what kind of deals I'll get. Anyways, thanks, and keep on posting those rims!

Nifu -- Most wheel makers show the wheels that look the best. A 5 lug wheel is more symetrical than a 4 lug and is more pleasing to the eye (atleast I think so). If they say they come in 4 lug than they do. Sometimes pictures lie. If you're looking for BBS wheels that were standard equipment on an E21 you won't find those on their website. You need to get those used or from a BMW dealership.

I have another question, for an '82 320i, do the wheels have to be 15"x7" or can it be 15"x6.5" etc... Does anyone know exactly what measurements I have to have and which measurements are changeable?
What does the 100 mean when they say 4x100 ?
What is the default offset? How much offset difference can I have without spacers?

4x100 is the lug pattern.....it means 4 lug-holes that are spaced 100mm from each other.

up front, a 15x7 to maybe a 15x7.5 is the widest u can get. BUT be sure the offset on the wheels are between 12mm to 20mm (et12 to et20)......and that they're hubcentric: the centerbore (the big hole in the middle of the 4 lug holes) is, i think, 57.1mm

most rims are nowhere near our e21 offset (usually they're in the 30 to +40 offset), and u'll need spacers for those rims. fyi, quality hubcentric spacers cost a lot (i would never trust cheap spacers)

FastE21, are those wheels Kopi's or Kosei K1's?? I'm really confused because they look like the Kosei K1's I saw on a website..
Maybe Kopi=Kosei.... I have no clue right now..

JUST 2000km? That's 1232 miles for the English. That's about a 22-hour drive lol.
