For an E3 2800 of 1970 vintage, does anyone know if the arm rests from other, later models are interchangable.?

The arm rests on both front doors are stuffed and i can't find genuines anywhere in Aus.
I'm even thinking of getting wood carver to solve my problem but if arm rests from other modeals would fill the screw holes precicely, i'll fit different rests.

Man, those old bimmers are pretty cars.. Parts are not easily had though.. esp interior from what I have ever seen.

You may want to try some Used parts warehouses here in the US.

Try maybe

www.vinesbmw.com (although youll have to call, no search feature on their website)

or maybe maximillian imports (not sure of the website, but it's in NY state somewhere. )

you may also try Steve Haygood, but I can't grab his URL at the moment either..

YOu may want to post over on the roadfly.org site. They have a board dedicated to the older E3's and what not.. someone may have some for you there..

I hate to say "go somewhere else" but the 6er board on roadfly is where I live for Model specific issues and what not.. here is spreading the gospel of the bimmers.. hehe

Good luck.
