View Full Version : Anyone going to SEMA? pimpm3 09-23-2001, 06:32 PM I was judt wondering if anyone is going to the SEMA show? BMLRacer 09-23-2001, 08:43 PM I'll be there with Bridgestone. God, I hate F'in SEMA, especially now that they got lax on letting all the so called "tuners" in. Nothing more than a bunch of kids who want to get "sponsored" in import drag and Hot Import Nights. Get the kids out and the show will be a good thing for the real industry again. jsp98m3 09-23-2001, 08:47 PM Somebody get me a pass. I've never been to it. At least I'm at least partially responsible for all of the JTD stuff :) I need to call the Ignition Solution guys and get some passes, I guess. Don't know how many we can pile into the M3 or one hotel room, but I'm up for it. Marita 09-23-2001, 11:34 PM hmmm...i was talkin to one of my friends earlier today during brunch, doug (uberpanzer), and i would be down to do a caravan to sema...depends on what day and see if he could get a time off... i dunno...i want to go...hmmm...maybe i can get my brothers best friend to go...and have his rich parents pay for everything... like they did for laughlin lol... anyways...i know us oc and la peeps should do a caravan to sd... cus u guys always come to the brunch... i feel like we should have it equal u know...im down for it and some people are too...but we should do it on like a friday nite...for dinner...how does that sound??? jsp98m3 09-23-2001, 11:38 PM Sounds great. I'm sure DDD or one of the regulars could set it up. I live all the way up in the hills in north SD county so I'm lousy at setting these up. The SD group had one at Mission Bay that went great. I have asked when they would have another but haven't gotten an answer. I'd suggest bringing it up at the next Wheel Power Sunday Brunch. I want to do SEMA too. But with no notice it almost has to be a pile-up in a few hotel rooms. They're usually booked all up. This year may be different with the terrorist shit. ///M3Dave 09-24-2001, 12:03 AM I'll be there. We should all hook sometime during the show. Marita 09-24-2001, 12:10 AM hey jsp...i use to go to ghetto chula vista... my ex bf lives there... so for me the drive is nothing.... jsp98m3 09-24-2001, 09:49 AM You don't like Chula Vista?!? I'm gonna cut you girl! :) I think a caravan would be cool. Nothing like Chinese fire drills on the side of 15, swapping drivers, passengers and CDs. Marita 09-24-2001, 11:27 AM i didnt say i hate it... i just dont want to go to chula vista anymore for no reason u know... i use to go in area of 805 and e street... right where those apts are...use to chill there everytime im down in chula vista... first time i went to hooters was few months ago in sd...i think its near like f street or something... jsp98m3 09-24-2001, 12:37 PM I was just teasing with you. Chula Vista has a bad rep for some reason. I've never had any problems with it or National City. NC is an area that has a rep for gang issues and stuff. El Cajon gets looked down on too. I guess I'm unfazed by it, growing up poor and in gangs. I don't even really see any down side when I go through some of these places. My wife (rich Republican family) and kids freak over some of the places I go without a second thought. Last week was like that. We were driving through an area east of Balboa Park. Not a bad place, not a good place..... These two Hispanic kids with shaved heads and baggy pants were working on their car and I just pulled over to help them since they were broken down. I couldn't help with the car, it was broken really well but I let them use my cll phone to call for help and gave them a ride down the street to Mickey D's so they could wait for a ride. Afterward 'June Cleaver' went whacko. Sigh... Marita 09-24-2001, 12:40 PM ohh ok.... |
