My wife and I were on Moanalua Rd going down the hill approaching Newtown when the light turned red. It was about 6:30 pm so traffic was pretty heavy. We had just come to a complete stop when a full size Chevy p/u truck hit us from the rear. Just as I stopped we both heard the truck's tires screeching for a few seconds. The sound was getting louder and louder then, BOOM. First words out of my wife's mouth were, "Damn, we just got the car fixed!" About two weeks prior, we had the rear bumper repaired because someone hit the car while it was parked on the street. We ended up having to get a new SS exhaust because the driver hit that and the bumper as well.

Yeah, hit him up for a new exhaust! I'll buy your "old" one for my gf's car.

Time for an M3 rear valence. The main thing is both of you are unhurt.

Yeah, and we were on our way to pick up the little one. I have neck and back stiffness that has gotten worse since the impact. Our company chiro gave me a treatment today which has helped a little.....Looks like the exhaust hasn't been damaged, but who knows. I do have a 96 M3 exhaust with about 30K miles on it. You can have that if you want. Let me know.

Bummers on your Bimmer!
At least you and your wife are okay, and the little one was not in the car at the time.
I hope things will go better after this fix!

I've heard about people with long term problems after car accidents. I was concerned about that last night when I got home and started to feel the agony of defeat. That's why I went straight to my chiro for a check. He said that it was mainly muscular in origin, no neuro stuff and my long term prognosis is good. He assured me that with a couple more treatments, I'll be good as new. He also mentioned that my frequent visits to the gym helped me out also. Thanks for the concern!

Isn't it funny how chiropractors always say you'll be fine...after a few more treatment$?

No offense to any of the chiropractors here at BFC :D

Glad to hear all your all OK!

Soft tissue injuries are a pain. I had a bad car wreck in '91 and I had to learn to walk again. That rehab was awful.
