I need to take my car to get serviced next week.

Can anyone recommend a dealership where they perform good warranty service on BMWs?

Thanks,Brian

Brecht BMW in Escondido. I needed some parts and help when I was in SD a few months back and they helped me out a lot. I have heard good things about them. If you need parts see Larry at the parts counter. Jim Powell referred me to him and he has been a great help.

Larry left, works at Harloff BMW now. Brecht is still a good dealership though. You'll need an appointment for service, they stay pretty booked up.

Thanks John. I'll make note that Larry went to Harloff

I'd try Brecht. The only others that i would think could be Cunningham and Harloff. I would not recommend BMW of SD, word on the street is that they're slimey.

Cunningham is probably the best of what's in South County.

BTW, does it HAVE to be dealership? Most certified indepentant shops can do warranty work too. Ask your warranty compnay (I'm guessing extended) and see. If you can go independant, Service Specialist in DOWNTOWN is the best in this part of SD. They have a shop in Miramar too, but they aren't as good up there (customer service wise). Jim, the shop manager in downtown is awesome. Daryl, the main mechanic, is ///M certified (so I allow him to touch my S14 motor).

If it is an extended warranty they will probably love you for going to an independant shop since the labor rates will be less.

Yup Harloff does good work. And if you take your car in, I might get to drive it.
