Im ordering a GC kit soon and Im looking for a place that can install it for a fair price. I was quoted 6 hours labor from one place for front and rear. Does it really take that long?

You might find that normal auto shops will do it... Check around... Or do it yourself.

Call Eric (I think that's his name...) he's the installer for suspensions. He did my GC system on a Saturday on his own time. Very reasonable. Great work...

I just had my new springs and shocks done by Autowerks in Huntington Beach. They did an excellent job, good guys. Ask for Johnny or Bruce. Tell them Jeff with the white M3 that was in last week recommended them.

I recommend Eric too. He's done a couple installs for me, and not just my bimmers. I think he used to work for Dave Turner but now owns his own company called Mobile Motorsports (mobilemotorsports.com) And as the name implies, he comes out to you and can do the install. He's super cool and very familiar with the AutoX community.

Check out TRS Group 4 motorsports in LA they are very resonalble and good at what they do. Lots of experience with suspensions also. Tell them you were refered to them by Scott with the M3.

Autohaus in walnut i think? anyway, they charged my friend 40 installation fee for struts. Probably the same price for spring/struts. Why not try to do em yourself?

how much it cost all you guys to do your suspension installation? i just want to see how much you guys paid compared to how much i paid for my uncle's friends to do it.

I just ordered my h&r and koni yesterday. Anyone in the so cal area want to get together and do the install ourselves. Only part im skeptical is cutting the strut housing open. Shouldnt have a problem with the rear install.

Its really not to bad the install. I as a amatuer did all my suspension on my ti. Just go to autozone and rent out the spring compressors. If you guys want some help or tips I would be willing to help out.

I dont have the tools and stuff to do the install. Also I read somewhere that theres some cutting involved with the installation of the GC track/school kit. Theres no way I could bring myself to 'cut' my own car. For the GC kit you dont even need spring compressors (I dont think) so thats not a concern.

If anyone whos experianced with this wants to help a couple of guys install suspensions one day I would be up for it. But if its not to much money ill just go ahead and have it installed by someone.

Yeah, with my old car i was reluctant on doing it myself, but with the tools, its hella easy and fun. I ended up doing all the stuff myself. I just need a person with experience with bmw tho..hehe.. It got so far w/ my old car that i could swap my b20 engine out of my integra in less than 3 hours by myself. Hehe.

Just make sure you properly torque all the old bolts back on to the proper specs specified in a manual. You don't want to overtighten and break em or seize them. That is a major pain.

quoted $300 from d2. hey kt1 do you have the contact info to autohaus. $40 for shock inserts is damn cheap. I cant get my konis installed because i dont have the right tools to cut up the shock housing. Where else do you guys recommend for koni and h&r install around Pasadena area. I would be willing to drive up to 45min to get my front shocks and springs installed. Planning on doing the rears myself.
