AzN_M5 10-20-2003, 02:13 PM No the reason for the low dyno is that it's a dyno dynamics dyno. The dyno dynamics dyno usually runs about 20-30 hp lower than dynojets. This is due to the fact that it puts a restrictive load on the car equivalent to it's weight on the street. So that 250 hp in the dyno is what the E46 M3 is actually putting on the street, not the wheels. It's not your typical inertia dyno. Here is some more info: Dyno Dynamics (http://www.dynocomp.com/The%20Dyno.htm) On a dyno dynamics dyno, my car put out 260 hp. When I tested it on a dynojet it ran right around 285 hp. Chris |
