What do people think about the sport button? I love it but i dont always drive with it in. I think it is a great idea and well designed to make the car feel like it has an extra 50 hp when your in that mood. i wish it had a toggle switch or something tho, pushing it gets to be an annoying routine if you always want it.

I don't use it much.... not even at the track. throttle response very non-linear, hard to moderate.

I use Sport mode constantly. Never drive without it. The throttle response feels like mush to me without the Sport button on.
I asked the dealer if there is some way to make "On" the default so I don't have to push the button every time I start the car. They said BMW NA will not allow it for legal reasons.
Those damn self-accelerating Audi 5000s back in the 80's ruined it for everyone.

I use it when I'm feeling 'sporty' ... makes the car feel faster (I know it's not, but it just feels that way).

Wait so what does sport mode actually do? It doesn't make the car faster?

No, it just makes the gas pedal more sensitive.

it makes the throttle response much more agressive and also progressive (non linear).
