Looks like we can't get any Saturday in April for Spring Fling, but we can get May 8th. Put that down in your calendars!

Aloha 500 is going back to its original date of November. Sooo, we're looking at Thanksgiving weekend for a 2 day event. There is a little twist as this will be on a Friday and Saturday. HRP is booked up for Sundays. HRP does have someone reserving Saturday and we can boot the person, but I need confirmation that people will attend this event.

I haven't ironed out the details with Owen regarding the 2 day event, but if it follows the other 2 dayers, this is how it'll play out.

Day 1
Car Control Clinic for the entire day
Skid pad
Slalom exercises on the drag strip
Braking exercises on the off camber

Day 2
Open track for everyone

or

Day 1
Car Control Clinic for the Novices
Short track for everyone else

Day 2
Long track for everyone

So people shanghai'd into becoming club officers get to attend free right? Since, y'know, we gotta be there :)

Did we ever come to any agreement on the convertible issue?
I guess I need to get some smaller wheels/tires and a new helmet for next year

Those M Roadstars would have been nice! And cheap too!

Club officers usually end up WORKING! But we just have to work it out with Owen.

As for the 'vert issue, I think minimum was factory rollover protection. So if there are are 'verts w/o rollover protection, they are probably SOL. There are only 2 I can think of, our VPs 318ic and our Newsletter Editor's Z3. I don't know if our former Pres' car has a rollbar in his Z3, but I surmise he won't be attending these events in the future. Does ZZZING have a roll bar?

Yes, you should be there and you can have the obligatory heart attack when the next car flips!

Don't even THINK stuff like that.

Yep I am REALLY regretting selling those Roadstars now, especailly for such a low price with S03s!! SSR comps are dang expensive!

Maybe I will just bring out the Audi this time:(

I'm the jackass who didn't attend the last event. :(

ZZZING has a rollbar.
Hopefully these rollbars will not have to be used. I'd hate to see someone turtle again. Those two were lucky they did not get physically hurt. Psychologically, I think it affected a lot of people. It's just they are not saying anything. Yes, it did have an effect on me. I'll come out with the Volvo.

I think it affected everyone, too. That's why we're making factory rollover protection the minimum.
As a result, I can't drive the 'vert in the school. It does have a hardtop, so we should also contemplate that option for those without the factory rollover protection. Like I'd really bring the 'vert for a track school! Most likely I'd bring Barney or White Lightning (if it's finished) or both.

Okay, where did it go!
