I sold my E36 M3 about a year ago and got a C5 corvette. I didn't like the corvette at all compared to the M3. I sold my vette last month and now I'm thinking of either getting the e36 or e46 m3. I'm a huge fan of the twisties and I loved the e36 for that, but I also want more power. What should I do? Does the e46 m3 handle as well as the e36? I haven't driven the new m3 so I don't know. Thanks in advance guys.

I also had a 99 M3 and loved it. It handled very well although not better than my 03 M3. The handling is simply amazing. I would say it is better than the E36. Good choice on selling the vette, i highly recommend getting an E46 M3. :D

i had owned all generation of M3s (see sig.), i would say you won't be disappointed by moving from a E36 M3 or a vette to the E46 M3!!

Both great cars, I love both of mine. However if I still used the E36 for the track I would put a blower on it. I also think the E46 is much better looking then the E36 if that makes a difference.

get the e46. u don't want to be stuck with an old car.
maint and all is pain in the ass. Just going to dealer and fixing this and that. I have a friend who got service done on his M3 e36 and set him back 800$.
i have owned e36 m3 95, m3 96, 01 m3 and i say the 01 feels a little overweight, but when u push the car, it's out of this world.
it's got power and comfort.
