Today on my way home from school the transmission idicator lights starts flashing. At first i didn't know what it was. So when i got home i checked the manual and it said that if it flashes the system is overloaded.
Im just wondering how i could of overloaded the system?

there are a variety of reasons, only a trip to the dealer will tell you exactly what the fault was. the SMG computer will store the fault (like a cE fault) to be diagnosed later.

Make sure the hood is closed properly. If you opened it and it did not close all the way the SMG gear indictors will start to flash then the warning light goes on.

Are we talking about the indicator that says what gear you are in or the little green SMG light?

Yeah... that light is the SMG fault light. When that light comes on, a fault is triggered and stored in memory (at least it should be). It is sort of like a Check Engine light for your transmission. You need to go in to the dealer and have them pull the code.
There are a variety of reasons why it may have come on...
