How are these in terms of quality in the snow for my e36. Ive heard good things about the Michelins but wanted some first hand opinions. I have a guy who wants to sell me them for $500. Good deal or not? Thanks for any imput guys.

Specs just in case your curious:
Michelin Artic Alpin 205/60 R15 (list for 79.00) on tirerack. The ones i would be getting have been used for 5k miles.

It depends on how much snow you get. The Artic Alpin will not give the snow performance of the Blizzak or the Dunlop WInter Sport. With 5K on the tires you would get about two more winter seasons. The Borbet wheel is a high quality wheel and would work fine.

I've used Arctic Alpins for over 5 years. Awesome for packed snow and ice. And for dry road use, they don't wear too fast. I've used mine for 2 winters and they still have lots of tread.
