View Full Version : Wheel Alignment Necessary after install springs?

Hi

i was told that i would require a wheel alighment after i installed my springs... is this true?

did any of you did not do alignment and everything was ok?

yes. any suspension mod/refurb, and an alignment is always a good idea.

i disagree. after removing/reinstalling suspension components, the bolts shift a bit, thins change slightly, thus an alignment is not un-warranted

I definitely agree with this. After any major suspension work, it is best to have an alignment performed.

If you change springs you will need an alignment. If the car is lowered, the toe angle will change. Camber and caster can and most likely will change but those are "generally" non adjustable. The rear on the E36's can be adjust adjusted for camber.
