Read in the paper today, Paul Mumford was killed when the Piper Cherokee he was piloting crashed. Mumford recently won his first Speed GT event at Laguna Seca in a Viper, holding off Bill Auberlin in the PTG BMW.

I think small planes are quite dangerous - I bet statistics will show they are safer than regular driving, but it seems that so many people die in small plane crashes. |
