ok guys i just got my springs today and i was reading the orange paper saying something about trimming of the factory bumpstops. i got the H&R sports springs.... and i have stop wheels and tires. is that still needed? and what is it

Bumpstops are rubber inserts located on top of your shocks piston. they are there to prevent you from bottoming out the shock. However when you lower your car, it lowers the clearance of these bumpstops. Without cutting them, you may now only have 1" of travel and it isn't enough. With HR Sports, I would trim at least an inch off your stock bumpstops..
