View Full Version : ERT Owners Help needed
eeeks 09-30-2003, 01:55 PM Hey all
I've tried numerous times to contact ERT regarding an install manual/build sheet/instructions...Hell I'd even take a sketch on a napkin at this point!
But to no avail...no amount of faxes, emails, IMs directly to Alfred DuPont or the shop itself can seem to get them to respond to this very simple request.
Can any owners who intalled the kit help out?
The kit was originally installed by Doug at ERT so no instructions or documentation were provided...other than my copy of a receipt that at the time...was a bargain...but is turning into a nightmare
17PSIM3 09-30-2003, 01:59 PM Why do you need the instructions? Im curious.
eeeks 09-30-2003, 02:39 PM Gauge installation and general maint. With how hard it has been to get in contact with ERT post sale, I would like to have the installation instructions handy for any problems, and or modifications.
///3oris 09-30-2003, 03:21 PM I didn't realize this was such a huge problem... give me a call or email bob.cat@comcast.net

Cacatfish 10-01-2003, 10:03 PM I tried to call them a bunch of times a few weeks ago to no avail and their voice-mail box is full. I think they might be on vacation.....:dunno
stimpee 10-01-2003, 10:29 PM They are probably out racing. Their focus is Dupont Motorsports, not ERT these days...

eeeks 10-02-2003, 08:40 AM Not exactly a good way to run a business....racing or not. If you sell a product...you SHOULD be able to support it somehow...
stimpee 10-02-2003, 12:19 PM no doubt, not making excuses for them by any means! just presenting the facts!
Steve
eeeks 10-02-2003, 12:38 PM No, no...I understand what you were saying...Not jumping all over you. Just extremely FRUSTRATED and PO'd at not being able to find anyone who can help out with support for this kit

stimpee 10-02-2003, 09:45 PM Eeeeks,
What are your problems?
Maybe we can help you out.
Steve
eeeks 10-07-2003, 05:10 PM No *problems* per se...but what if something DOES go wrong...I'm up sh*ts creek right?
The one thing I DO want to do is add the guages (oil press/oil temp/boost...) But I wanted a schematic or something so I know just how/what/what size/etc etc....
Stylin 10-07-2003, 05:29 PM the boost u just need to split a vaccum line off the intake manifold.. i tapped mine off the idle control valve plate under the throttle body. the oil pressure and oil temp are still the standard install.
eeeks 10-08-2003, 12:31 AM Even with ERT's non-standard Oil Distribution block? Boost should be relatively simple...tho finding a mechanic that can put 2 and 2 together has been a chore...Or...one that would support ERTs work either
eeeks 10-13-2003, 09:46 AM *bump* So are there ANY ERT owners out there with installation instructions?
DakarDave 10-13-2003, 11:54 AM I know this is for a E46 ESS kit, but it may help you out... the instructions seem very simliar in nature.... and the write up is excellent with detailed pics of the actual install......
Most Vortech kits will follow the same general install procedure.. most vortech based kits are copies of each other..... Good luck!
