This morning exiting from a stop light on Vine St Expressway from 7th st, a Silver Mercedes Hatchback lined up with me on my right side at the light. Nothing much going on just minding my business and then the light turned green. He immediately stepped on the gas since I was at his rear quarter panel. I was like OK....I can do that too, stepped on the gas and flew by him, chirping my tires on first and second gears. On Vine St expressway I got the quick jump and immedialtely got onto the left hand lane. I see him a couple of cars back and hit the brake pedal so that he can catch up. He overtakes me on the right hand side and I immediately gave chase. I was behind him the whole way, we got onto the mertge onto I76 and this part always gets crowded with people merging into one lane. He is still ahead and I let this Minivan merge in front of me. As soon as the merge is over I punch it and merge onto the right middle lane of I76. He was still ahead of me but I am gaining ground due to traffic. I overtake him and again hit the brake. He tries to overtake me and I downshift to third and floor it, again he falls behind. By this time I was like enough of this insanity, He went towards the Schuykill expressway towards North Philly and I go onto the King of Prussia area. Fun while it lasted...man..what was he thinking??? I know the car had a supercharger and all but why even attempt it with the M Coupe??? I guess some people just dont know what the car can do or otherwise what kind of car it really is...Oh well chalk that one as another kill.

Some people count on traffic carving to get ahead versus horsepower and common sense... best to let those fools wreck or get pulled over, matter of time...

there is no c240 hatchback....there is only the c230 and c320 sports coupe.... there is only a sedan for the c240.....just chiming in wit a lil bit of info....

Funny Dave your absolutely right! Never experienced that until tonight. I was driving along and this 1.8 turbo beetle flies up on my left in the left lane nearly rear ending the car in front of him. I'm thinking what an ass. I get behind him and the car in front of him clears and he steps on it. He starts weaving in and out of cars, cutting off everyone in all three lanes.

I just wait for an opening and once it's wide open he's already about half a mile ahead. I get into the right lane and pass him fast. I slow down when we hit a patch of traffic and drive calmly while he, again, starts cutting off traffic to get ahead. Finally an opening and he takes off, but once in the wide open he's not gunning it. I creep up to him and sit in his blind spot waiting for him to gun it but he doesn't want to play anymore.

Yeah, I had a guy in one of these that couldn't get enough after two lights when I first got my MC about a year ago....I guess he decided he wanted the hattrick before he had enough.

There is this crazy guy in a blue beetle in monterey, we were stopped at a light and when it turned green we both gun it, i chirped first and second and the 2 lanes merged to 1. i had him by a car and he comes flying up to do a ricer fly by IN THE ONCOMING LANE! but a car comes from the other way and he swerves into me almost hitting me... gotta love those 1.8 turbos!!!
