I was driving down a 4 lane road last week when i noticed a set of blue headlights ( fake xenons ) coming up on me. As the car pulled next to me i saw it was a black Mcoupe ugly little thing.
Ive seen this car around before but he would never run me probably because i had an exhaust on this car then. Now noticing
a stock exhaust he tought he had it wraped up. We started around 45mph he got a good car length jump on me but by the end of 2nd gear i made that up and was ahead by a car length.
By 85mph i was ahead 3 cars or more when he hit the brakes like a bitch :biglaughb . He did not pull next to me again at the next traffic light he stayed slightly back and looked away. The cocky little bastard had no idea what he ran into tack one up for the M3 coupe ( 95 3.0) :bazooka:

Uh, what mods are you running might I ask? I find this hard to believe otherwise...

Are you sure this wasn't a regular Z Coupe?

My guess, the coupe was a 2.8, not an M.

yeah much respect to the M Coupe, beautiful and balanced car, dont rip on its looks, it may turn you off at first but they grow on you.... find it hard to believe that a stock 95 M3 took an M coupe as well...

Sounds like a Z3 2.8 Coupe. Oh, and please watch the language in the Main Forums, E36M3c.

im sorry to upset all you m coupe guys . My 3.0 runs low 13s @ 105mph on a gtech . As for being accurate my 98 conv. m3 ran a 14.2 @ 99mph on the same gtech this isnt a stock car ethier.Im
not being disrespectful to mcoupes just this one guy in a mcoupe.
I also know the differance between a M and non Mcar.It was a Mcoupe
as for mods
i really dont know i bought the car for a bar car not knowing it moved like that.
it has a 7200rpm rev limit
and high perf. clutch
i removed some weight about 100 pounds

sorry but isnt the M-coupe the same engine as the M3 sedan?

sounds strange dissing someone else with basically the same car as yourlsef?

E36M3c
09-30-2003, 01:40 AM
Mcoupe i a 3.2
95 m3 is 3.0
mcoupe is also a lighter car

e36 vs e46 vs m-coupe (all stock)?

thanks

thats stock in that order
my brother just ordered his 04 M3 when he breaks it in

uhhh... unless you have cams, are blown, or are some kinda freak-of-nature- driver like silverstreak, I don't see a 3.0L m3 hittin low 13's. My '95 M3 had ltw flywheel, track pipe, chip, hfm, intake, exhaust, and pulleys and I don't think it was out of the high 13's. I wouldn't trust the G-tech. And if you did beat that M-coupe, I doubt the driver knew what he was doing.

Actually ...

S52 M coupe > S52 E36M3

S54 M coupe > S54 E46M3

So logically ....

S54 M coupe > S54 E46M3 > S52 M coupe > S52 E36M3

 In another post, you said your 98 convt runs a 14.1@100?

As far as your 95 M3 running low 13s@105mph...

E46 M3s trap about 106 or so. Are you trying to tell us you're next to an E46 M3? Which is not impossible, but you need cams/gears or FI.

I would pull the BS flag, but I don't know how to. Come on man, get real...

Tough crowd. I like that.

Now, maybe our newbie friend trusted his gtech too much, that shouldn't make him a target of flames from us. We already have Pepe. Give him time to track the car, and it will be fine.

In the meantime, let's get back to some friendly poking and ownage.

I really dont care if you people believe it or not but this car moves
i dont know whats in it but it works.
the conv. ran the 14.1 on a passport timer after about 20 runs of beating the crap out of the clutch

Take that baby to the track for the some accurate times and practice your launch skills, it's all about having fun and enjoying your car...

See, I post a friendly reply, and this is what I get... :nono

Anyway, your car sounds like it moves all right. You may have a decently modded beast in your hands, and you don't know it. Just don't fork over the money for Schrick cams to find out they were already in there!

I bought my car with some mods too and would never know at first.

Hugo

My 4Runner had a Chevy 454 conversion with a blower, a TH400 tranny, dual transfer cases and Dana 60s front and rear with 35" Boggers, but I didn't notice it at first.

I guess we are lucky to buy modded cars from unsuspecting sellers, huh?

Ok, maybe not, I had to jump on WannaM's bandwagon.

MGregski

Well mine had the Euro HFM, software, injectors ind a CAI. It was my first Bimmer. As far as I was concerned all it had was the CAI.

This is getting good...its inspriing me to write a wicked thread in OT....hasnt been any good conversation in days

Gtechs are toys

Trap lights are the final answer

Will a gtech show which car is faster? Generally.
I think they are better for skidpads
Can a $200 inertial sensor accurately show times to the tenth of a second, hardly, the inertial sensors in the dsc and aribag systems are far more accurate, but cost $1000!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever, its a nice m car, and I wish I had one

Hey i know theres faster cars out there . I once had a 94supra TT that car went thru a telephone pole ( 500 hp roughly didnt get to dyno with new mods) ive had bikes too ( 99 TL1000R, 00 CBR929RR, 01 GSXR750) now these are fast vehicles. My BMWs are truely slow when compared to these. As for this Mcoupe its a local guy whos an a$$ ( he picks on people in 325s ect. ) and needed to get smoked. Obviously a sc M will beat me . Like i said before i dont know whats in it but it goes pretty good.
The car has been to epping too it ran a 13.9 @ 102 w/ my brother driving im sure i can do better.

You dont know how to build them, we have mustangs that beat bikes all the time....bikes take incredible skill, most people dont have that..if you cant build an m3 that fast, Im sorry

The fact of the matter is, you don't know what it really runs with you behind the wheel cuz you haven't had it at the track yet. Nothing wrong with that. I'd just be wary of making the estimations/claims, etc...
