check the autotrader, that doesn't seem to be all that bad... the 850i don't sell for all that much, its the CSi and a lesser extent Ci that go for $$$$.

One thing to remember is that finding a std is hard with the 850i I'd check it out.

Prices have been falling lately. For that price it should have complete service records, low miles and be real pretty.

Look for oil in the water and so forth. Take a run with the AC on full and get it well warmed up. If the temp is over the middle and climbing it probably needs real work $$$$
The V12 seems almost bullet proof if you don't ever overheat it.

Look for local references to the "Bay Area 8's" There are a lot of knowlegable folks in several chapters there.

Oh damn whattup Tim, didnt know you actually registered. Maybe try Roundel the magazine if they have any 8's for sale or maintence advise.

San Jose BABY!

850's sure are the shizit. But maintence... well, like you said... I guess that's why they call you the "technician?" Now see if you can't swap in a 6-speed or something fun like that... then you'd have a true autobahnstormervaggen JAH?

Good luck! If you get it, please please please take many pictures.

even tho i am a tech i dont always have the time to take care of it. so right now im leaning towards a e36 m3 (less maintenece). maybe keep that for awhile and save so i can get a really nice 850csi. and isnt the e36 m3 faster than the 850? i mean stock for stock

Two different worlds there! If you want to be FAST on the street the M3 is a much better choice.
