I think H&R are the way to go if I had to do it all over again I would have gone with H&R instead of the Racing Dynamics. I have heard only good things about H&R. I never heard anything good or bad about Intrax and Eibach's I have good things but they don't lower the car enough.
just my two cents.

You will find H&R at the top of most lists. The Intrax is a good spring and local in SoCal so you can discuss your requirements in detail to see if it is a match for your car / driving habits.

Id go with H&R becasue no one has ever had a problem with them, so they must be doing something right.

H&R is a progressive rate spring.

Eibach is a linear spring like OEM sport springs.

H&R sits a little lower in the front compared to Eibach.

Linear springs are generally better for performance because the car does not jack in turns.

Progressive rate springs allow a lower ride height & decent ride quality without bottoming out.

Pick your poison.

after installing the H&R's does anyone know if you need camber adjustment? or well installing the springs not need any more adjustments?

i didnt need any camber kits or anything like that... obviously you want to adjust the camber to the most effective setting after you install any suspension mods

I think H&R are the way to go if I had to do it all over again I would have gone with H&R instead of the Racing Dynamics. Please expand on that .. I was thinking of getting RD springs (they are on sale for $179.50) and Koni shocks.

How do RD and Dinan springs compare to Eibach and H&R?

Is it absolutely necessary to change the shocks if someone installs H&R's?

Eibach makes a lot of "Spec-kits" for tuners, Racing Dynamics being one of them. I run the RD race suspension setup on my 540 along with the Koni's. This was back in '99 when I did all the suspension mods. The car sits low and the rear had enough travel to load up passengers with out bouncing, bottoming out or rubbing with 19" rims.

I have an E39 530i Sport, and was wondering can you put lowering springs on and still keep stock (sport) shocks. I am cautious about lowering the back too low because I have 19's and dont want rubbing with passengers. Which spring (H&R or Eibach) will provide what im looking for (a low-ended front with minimal lowering in the rear)?

Depends how many miles you have on the car. I had around the 40k mark and my shocks lasted not even 3 weeks. Car should be fine with lowered springs and 19's.

I just learned that H&R will be coming out with their new sway bars that use teflon bushings for the E39 sometime this spring.

H&R 100%! Tried, tested and true, why mess with a good thing?

Intrax is also a quality brand. They provide the lowest drop of any sring setup and their suspensions are highly supported in F1 racing. Also other suspension companies use Intrax rsprings and tlabel them as their own.

I would not be afraid of Intrax, its a quality name.
