I haven't posted any of my kill stories recently so here they are...
Coming home from downtown Salt Lake one night I saw some kids driving an Infinity I30 sedan. They stuck out like a black stripper in an LDS church by the way they were driving. I pulled up behind them at a red light just before the freeway entrance: a long sweeping left with a slight downhill section as it straightens out. I was in the mood to hit the turn hard and have some fun so as soon as the light turned green and this goof was far enough in front of the rest of the pack I shot around and started preparing for the turn ahead. The I30 driver was up for a race I guess and caught back up to me after I had slowed down to freeway speed after the onramp. The driver matched my speed at 70 and proceeded to press the throttle to the floor quickly to get my attention. I rev match into third but as soon as he hears my engine rev he guns it. Oh well, I'll give it to him. It wasn't to close, I reached 110 and shut it down with the I30 driver a ways back in my rearview. They caught back up and just looked at me as I waved. No response, just stared. They got off the next exit.
A month or so ago I was cruising uptown to meet a friend. I spotted an IS300 halfway through the drive and we both raced around through traffic playing cat and mouse. As the road opens up the traffic thins out to near desolation and the opposing lane splits away through a 30ft divider. No room for cops, no streets for people to turn from, we both line up at the red light. The green light flashes, we are out of site, we are going the distance, we are going for speed, no cops around us, I am smoking his a$$. He does a ricer fly-by so I catch up and pass him again. (I saw him gaining fast as I stopped racing so I downshifted again...) He stopped behind me at the next light and accelerated extremely slowly so as to lose me.
Heading in to work at about 8:30 last week I was being followed by a Jag 3.0 X-type. He was a very vigorous driver to say the least.. He finally decided it was his turn to lead and passed me. The game was on. We hauled through the gorgeous morning air for a good 10 minutes until we hit a stoplight together. Now this guy wanted a piece of me because during one of our little jaunts up to this point, I had hit the gas so he couldn't get in front of me when approaching a slower car. (I know I am sooo mean:rolleyes: ;) . Oh well, what can ya do.) So as the opposite light changes yellow to red the X-typer gets a little anxious and starts to edge up. GREEN, we go. He had me on the launch but I still caught up and passed him, his engine screaming "I think I can, I think I can!" as loud as it could. (They sound quite raspy) No dice for the X-type.
Two days ago I played with an STI but it never went farther than that. The dummy plates were still on the car too. I'll race one someday, I just want to add a few more mods first and a new clutch. Then some weight reduction and......
Me and a buddy were cruising somewhere in my car and a ML430 and it's MILF wanted a piece of the 2.8. 328-1 ML430-0
Coming back from a car show we had Saturday I happened upon a mexican looking dude in his Ford diesel. Blowing his smoke after every red light. I decided I didn't want to smell it anymore. He switched lanes to one with out cars and I lined up behind him, ready to pounce. Light turns green and my psychic powers proved true. He guns it. As soon as I had enough room I went full throttle and passed his sorry truck. He wanted more at the next stoplight. Schooled again. He had 3 guages up his A pillar.
I meet a WRX at a light while cruising with a buddy. I am ready to go but the WRX driver"S" aren't. The guy gets out of the passenger seat and his chica switches him (moves to the passenger seat) I guess the girl can't drive??? :dunno . START! First off the guy can't launch it but tries. Can you say "BOG" It's over after I reach 4500rpm. A steady pull till I shut it down while he is 4 car lengths or so behind. He better learn to drive it and put on some aftermarket toppings.
Coming home from some nice a$$ about 3:00am on a saturday. I ran into a truck who was just asking for it. So at the next stoplight I busted out my theoretical "9" and popped a cap. Roughly two cars behind the truck was a black Civic Si I didn't really pay attention to. He saw me "beat my chest in fury to show my manhood" at the last light and caught up. Red light stop. He is going! Engine is revved and ready to launch! I'll wait till I see him go and if he is worth the gas I---wait? Was that a BOV??? It's go time. Green light go. He gets some decent wheelspin and we both take off. sssssSSSSSHHHHHH!!!! Yup. He's PSI'ing. as soon as I reach the top of second gear I am reeling him in. third I am about a carlength. Fourth 3 quickly becoming 4. 5. 6. Time to stop. We had another run from a stop and 3 or 4 from a roll all with similar outcomes. Fun races. I gave the thumbs-up out the sunroof but couldn't make out any sort of response through his tint.
Good times. Good times. I wonder what's next?
I think there were more but I'll have to sleep on it tonight and try to remember.
