Not a killer stroy but worth to tell..

Me (98 ///M Roadster) and a Camaro Z28 1996 or (97) on the highway (55 mph max speed)..
I passed him, changed the lane and slowed down until we were even at 70 mph, I was at the 5th gear. we looked to each other and we started kicking...

We had the same acceleration in the first 5 seconds but I down shifted to the 4th gear and pressed hard. My RPM was 5+, he tried to pass me and his motor was screaming but
I was faster..just few seconds and he was far behind me :D
at this point I was over 100mph so I slowed down and that was it :):)..

Nice kill. But race a Z28 the same year as your car and the outcome won't be the same.

Nice kill, but you raced a 14 second car...race a 99 and up and come back, they run 13.6's or faster :devillook:, oh yeah, and thats not a GT type 13. its at like 105 at the end and they are chompin at the bit at that speed, just getting going, its a good thing fpr all street racers those cars got shut down, who knows what 04 would have brought...:dunno

Nice run. An LT1 powered Z28 is a tad slower than an S52 M Roadster. An LS1 powered Z28 vs a slightly modded S52 would be a good race, with the LS1 having a slight edge (it's a low 13 second car with a decent driver...).

I have 2 roomates. One with a LT1 Firebird, and the other with an LS1 Firebird. We all race at the track. I usually kill the LT1 no problem. I can usually beat the LS1 to the 1/8th mile mark, but from there he just FLIES by me. An S54 would be a closer match to an LS1.

Nice run. See? You barely learned how to drive a stick and now you are racing. Way to go.

Thanks. Now if I just had your skills and your car, LS1's would be no problem!

I don't know, man, I only managed a 13.7 at 101 mph in that 98 M Roadster I had as a loaner...
