A friend of mine is going to look at a 1988 M6 with 101k miles on it.

What are some common issues with these cars?

For the most part are they reliable? What regular maintanence has to be done on these car? valve asjustments, etc.

Are most major parts still easy to get, like brakes? tires? windows?
