GUYS where can i get a fuel tank used or new for my e30 m3 i cracked mine and its leaking , not good! Help would be greatful

I was being stupid and speeding on back roads, and sure enough a cop passes and turns to come after me, so i coudlnt get another tickit so i run, and am turing into a naighbor hood and slid into someones front yard and hit sum metal thing in the grass and it bent the fuel tank and cracked it. I called the dealership but they are charging me like 600 to 800 dollas and a hell of a lot to intall, total price being 1600. I said f**k that. Im tyring to find a used one that has been taken out and replaced wiht a fuel cell like the racing ones

check out if fuel tank from e30 325 ´85 is compatible with yours. you can find them easier

Take it out and weld it! I know it sounds like a dumb idea but it can be done. Most radiator shops have the proper fume evacuation tools and weld fuel tanks all the time. Also, if you weld yourself you can fill it with water and do it that way...

You can get it welded or soldered shut, but you need to reseal it--not fun. If you don't seal it properly, it will rust inside.

Check junkyards for the newer model 1989-1991 325i fuel tanks. They cured the fuel starvation problem of the earlier E30 tanks. Can't be more than $250 from a junkyard/parts recycler listed in the Roundel. And you even eliminate the external high-pressure fuel pump for a single in-tank high-pressure pump.
