problem! on board "orange lcd+clock display" failure!!

my brother has a 323is, and I got a m3 ... his car's (323is) on board computer (doesn't have the bottom buttons such as 'range' and calculations... only the top row)

here is the question:
well, it seems to be still working, but display screen is messed up, i can only see a few orange vertical lines..... and the clock is very dimm... can't see anything during day light... maybe a little bit at night... help! does any one have any idea about where i can get tem fixed? or perhaps replaced..... cause he is planning to sell the car, so he doesn't wana spend too much money on it.... so....

Yea...uhm...put a new bulb in it. No biggie.

you said the problem was with the e36 and not the e30 right? Well do a search on these forums for your problem (try dim display, or replacement display) and you will find where others had this problem. If you contact this person in that thread he is a high up BMW rep, and will pay for all parts, just you pay labor. So before you touch anything, find this guy and email him. I talked to him once and he said he would call the local BMW dealership and pay for parts.
