I have been looking for a nice place to live in southeast florida. The problem I been having is that I really don't know the smaller towns that are between Deerfield beach - South beach. I have to be within 10mins of the ocean but it doesnt matter what side of rt1 I would be on.

I been searching on all the realestate sites , but just because the house looks nice , I dont want to be next to some ghetto spots. So let me know whats up.

Thanks
Bill

You're looking at (from the south)...

South Beach
Miami Beach
North Miami Beach
Hallendale Beach
Hollywood Beach
Ft. Lauderdale Beach
North Lauderdale Beach
Pompano Beach
Deerfield Beach

(I believe)

How about Boca?

So where would a male in his mid 20's want to live? Right now im 15min from NYC and love that im close by , but would hate to live there. Catch my drift?

What towns should I steer away from?

Boca's $$$, friend of mine lives there, works in Lauderdale...

Course from my younger friends, they like the scenery....and I'm not talking about the ocean view.

Boca is big money...
South Beach is bigger money...

If I were you, I'd opt to be in Ft. Lauderdale. Half way between Boca and Miami.
