Let me preface by saying I am a fool.

What can I use to get tiny scratches out of the plastic panel that goes infront of my instrument cluster (E30)? I had the cluster out, and while washing some dust off I decided to use steelwool to get some gummy stuff off the face... as soon as I dried it I realized the wake of my destuction... grey haze of scratches.

Can I make them go away?

Plastic polish. How deep are the scratches. You may need to go with one of the plastic polish kits that come with polish, small foam cutting pad and backing plate for the PC.

Plexus will probably not fix the problem, but it seems to do a good job of keeping that panel clean. It's supposed to also have some ability to hide small scratches, but sounds like you have more damage than that.

Also might just check into getting a replacement, then you'll know how much effort to put into trying to fix it.
