Does anyone have the "Highline Package" on their late model 7'er?
I have read conflicting info on what models it was available on for what years. Just curious to see if anyone here had it and what you think of it.

are u talking e38 or e65 ??
In OZ they had a highline model for 00' and 01' models..
Good question, nicot, I was thinking of the E38, but I think it's also available on the E65. I'm definitely more interested in whether anyone w/an E38 on this forum has it.
///M LIFE, from what I've read, the highline package includes different leather (softer?) in an off-white (cream) color, sometimes piping on the seats, different carpeting and dash, and other "accents."
It's not quite to the level of an "Individual" option but it definitely looks different.
For example, in this pic you can see that the seats are cream-colored, not tan, the upper dash and upper door panels are actually blue, and the carpets are dark blue (with a biarritz blue exterior):

I think it looks amazing in the pics I've seen. They're not very common though.

The highline package came with Nappa Ecru leather, in cream with blue or green piping.
I think the highline package is different from "full leather." Highline came w/seat piping and Nappa Ecru leather. Full leather has similar color but it is not as soft, and I think they called it "Oyster Beige." I understand that option did not have the colored piping.
"Hubster" owns this 2000 740iL with Highline. It's darker inside, with more panels the dark interior color.

"tnfan" owns this 2000 740iL with Full Leather. It's lighter, with more of the interior in the beige color.

"DelMar740iL" wrote about the differences:
I belive you have the "Full Leather" option. I have the "Highline" option on my 00 740iL. HighLine was normally reserved for the 750iL (US) but in 00 and 01(?) was made available on 740 long-bases as an option. It came in 2 color configs (Oronicco and Midnight Blue) and had Nappa Ecru (very soft) leather with green or blue piping, depending on the exterior color. The interior trim and carpet was also colored the same. This option was not compatible with the sports package.
Full Leather refers to Montana leather in Oyster Beige color, with full-colored carpeting/trim. It had no seat piping and although the seat leather was almost the same color, it was different leather from Highline.
Thanks for clearing that up for me!
So what I've been seeing is in fact the "full leather" package on 740i models.
A lot of these "full leather" 740s are being advertised as "highline package" cars, so buyer beware!
Since I am looking at possibly getting a 740i model and not an iL, there would be no chance of getting the highline option then.
However, I could do without the piping anyway but I really like the oyster beige color and the dark carpet.
Thanks very much for the info!

There was a dark blue one that I saw but decided against it. I liked that it was a little more unique, but the dark door and dash reminded me of an airplane seat too much!
I went with the regular O-Blue with gray interior. Color is personal, I guess!
