A guy on the boards 155///mph, just bought a M3 for 12.5k with 28k. So it's possible it's a good car.

I think an E30 M3 is one of those cars that you need to be patient to sell. If you need cash right away, you'll need to sell the car way below market value.

i would go for that...if i had the money

had it not been on ebay it probably would have gone for more.
if you are patient with the car it will definetly get you a very good price( assuming its in good condition ).

the only people really looking for these cars anymore are enthusiasts and those that are selling a e30 m3 know this as well.

dont matter how many miles it is, you cant sell that more than 12k.

if you look at the blue book value for that car it's around $7k for that year and mileage in excellent condition.

www.kbb.com

however, this being a collector's car i say $10 is fair. now for a '01 m3 w/ that mileage i'd pay $12k for it.

I'm sure it was a respray look at the door jam ident plate. It has paint run on it. Person should have cleaned it up with some varnish. But if the cars mechanically sound and has a clean title why not right.

umm, all you guys with blue book quotes and... these cars sell for whatever you can get for them. like someone said earlier, you need to be patient. if your car is clean, you will find someone to give you in the 11-14 range for a virtually stock car.

Yeah, you do the community a service by restoring a cheap and abused E30 M3, but you gotta have deep pockets to do so, I learned the hard way and had to give mine up. :(

E30 M3's are worth a lot of money. That car could have fetched 15k+ easily. They are not based on the KKB, its all about the market because they are collector cars with a cult following.

Just because someone blows out a car that "seems" good on ebay, does not mean that its a buyers market, or that the market for those particular cars is not strong. Noone knows the real condition of that car, or the circumstances in which it was sold.

Also, doesanyone else think it even remotely odd that there are NO pictures of the pass side of the car??

it looks like the buyer was funkmasta here on the forums. I bought some clear sidemarkers from him and I've been watching him ebay all the parts from his wrecked 328is, so I recognized the name. look at this thread and you'll see the same ebay name as the buyer from the m3 listing:
