Recently upgraded to 1988 735. Lovely car - great drive!
When cold, and often but not always when hot, takes a lot of cranking to get it started.
But sometimes it roars into life almost instantly!
What's the problem - guys -
And what's the solution!
My guess is the petrol de-pressurises and the engine/injectors wont fire until the pump has got it back up to pressure again.
But where is the appropriate valve????
Is it included in the pressure regulator at the end of the injector gallery?
But maybe I'm barking up quite the wrong tree!
It seems to be a common problem - as pretty well all the 735s I looked at did the same!
