since no one wants to share there time correction settings *sigh* i was wondering when you measure your speakers to the driver seat (or wherever you want to time correct to) from what speaker do you measure from since i have a "ten" speaker system (hk)? do i measure just from the drivers and NOT the mids and tweets? TIA
also, on my 7894 there are two diff. time correction settings, one is for bass and the other is a manual set up. can someone tell me if i have to use both and also what is the difference b/t the two. i just dont understand what i gotta do...thanks

ok, i think i got mine set. i personally have fader all the way to the front.
Bass Effect Time Correction =
FL - FR
20 20
TCR Manual =
FL
0.9
i guess it is a little easier if you dont have rear fill to worry about.
btw, this is with everything set to "zero" or in other words you have DEFEAT ON in the setup menu. any questions just ask, i might be able to help. easiest way for me was to play appropriate music and adjust with my eyes closed to bring the front stage up and to the center. i did the math afterwords to see if i was close and it appears that the settings would be similar so thats good enough for me...

Here are my Alpine 7894 time settings (optimized for driver-only):
LF = 23
RF = 7
LR = 7
RR = 0
I adjusted for even response with the balance/fader set to isolate one speaker pair. Use familiar full-range music. (You may get tired of hearing the same track over and over before you finish!)
Set RR as reference (0) since it's farthest from the driver. Then adjust LR time (using TCR Manual) versus RR. Repeat with RF versus RR, then finally LF versus RF.
When I finished, no balance or fader bias was needed, and bass seems cleaner and and stronger (less bass boost required for same SQ). Voices and treble are very clean and detailed.
I double-checked with distance measurements and calculation, and the results agreed with distance to the front mids on my '93 325i.
"Bass Time Correction" and "TCR Manual" do the same thing, but the former changes one pair at a time, the latter changes just one speaker.
