Does anyone have a pic I can send my dad of how to remove the rear tail light bulb out of a 97 740i???
I though you just turned the black clips and pulled the back housing out to access the bulbs.
Anyone know the bulbs numbers???
He is in a different state and has no mechanical ability and my mom is leaving a on a cross country trip.

Battery side is very easy. NAV side is a little harder only because of the access.

Open the battery hatch or the small door next to the NAV.
Grab the bulb holder.
Twist a quarter turn.
Bulb and holder come right out.

He can take the dead bulb to a dealer or automotive store and ask for a replacement.

I think if we take all the pics you have of your E38 we can build a bigger and better ETK :D
