My Girlfriend picked up my car from the shop at 8am, by 12 noon it was toast. Shop says the coolant system leaked from some crack, and not there fault. I guess you cant teach a chick to watch guages. I need a new/used/rebuilt motor, anyone out there have a lead?
There is an 2002 X5's 4.4 block and head on ebay... will the internals fit? 540 motor?

I find it fishy that 4 hours after the car was in the shop the motor seized. Second opinion time! If nbothing else if the car had a coolant leak they should have caught it!

Assuming you need an engine.. http://www.car-part.com A Low mile (50-60K) engine ought to be buyable for about $2K or so I would think, perhaps less.
