Hi all. I'm really new to Bimmerforums, but not forums in general, so rest assured that I searched. Unfortunately I'm not 100% sure I have the information I need.
Here's the issue: In the morning I come out to my wife's 01 X5 (4.4) and the ass is on the ground. I power up and it fills the suspension to right itself. I know it's an issue with the air suspension, but the information I've gathered has me somewhat confused.
I've read that this could be an issue with the bladders. I'm skeptical that this is my issue as I've not noticed any sounds of leaking air nor would it make sense that both bladders failed at the same time. (The whole rear is down with no bias to either side of the vehicle.)
I've also read about relays, fuses and other electrical issues. Can anyone point me in the right direction based on my specific symptoms? Has anyone out there experienced my exact situation? If so, please post up the remedy and potential cost of said remedy.
Many, many thanks in advance for your help!
