even uglier than the Mercedes R-Class. the car doesnt even have a trunk and has a tiny rear window. instead of building REAL cars BMW wastes its time with useless cars like the X6 or tiny overpriced 1-series. the X6 is just an Uglified version of the X5. wow. i bet BMW is now making the X1, an uglified version of the X3.

Thats just wrong to say such things about the X6. If anything the X5 is less attractive but I still wouldn't say ugly. Maybe your perception is messed up, maybe you bumped your head 1 to many times.
IDK but to call the X6 uglier than a mercedes is just down right blasphemy. Mr. 2 post Hitler

have u ever SEEN an X6? hav you seen that their is NO trunk? the design of it is pure ugly, the curves dont match or anything. there isnt even a back window, just a slit.

the X5 is a real SUV. the X6 is just the X5's retarded deformed younger brother.

last time i checked the x5 doesnt have a trunk either. hmm, trolls

Real SUV? bmw doesnt make thoes. the x6 is a Sports Activity Coupe. It was not designed for the soccer mom. It only seats 4. and Has plenty of CARGO space.

I'd say the X6 almost defies classification. I saw one up close for the first time a few weeks ago - it's much bigger than you might expect. Possibly even taller than the X5, but more than likely wider. It's a car truly deserving of the term "crossover" or whatever BMW has decided to call it - SAV(?)

It certainly will appeal to a certain (albeit small) demographic. I would guess 20-40, adventurous, wealthy, lives with one or two others, but no kids. Doesn't it only seat four? So it's not made for a family, the X5 takes that role.

X6 M is even more of an oddball. If I was forced to choose a larger vehicle, it would probably come down to Cayenne and X6 M. Not that I have the cash for either..

Interesting, if controversial design, but I doubt it will sell well.

the only thing i agree with is that i dont like the look of it and that is because of the badge in the back it just looks off to me and i have to admit that it took some warming up to but i am starting to really like the X series in general going from an M3 e-36 and now owning an X3 as well and taking it off road a little bit and highway its a real shock to see what BMW has come up with. i say +1 for BMW designers in general even if i dont believe that the badge looks good the cars and suv's are great IMO

do you know what the X6 really looks like?

it looks like the Pontiac Aztek. Notice how BOTH have no trunks, and the bank ends of both seem sliced-off and slanted. i cant post photos so look at them yourself and see that the X6 is a luxurious AZTEK.

How can you critique the style of any BMW when you started a thread asking which brand badge you should get on Ebay for your car?

I don't think anyone on here will take you seriously. Not even 10 posts in and we already have a troll alert.

Even if that were true of him, how is it at all relevant to the current conversation?

Although I do agree x6 isn't the best looking "SUV" out there, the amount of innovation and technology that went into it is absolutely amazing. Why don't you do some research about the x6m that pulled some insane time on the Ring, beat the new m3 and has enough state of the art electronics to be considered a supercomputer. There is a lot more than just looks to it. I tend to enjoy and appreciate the older bmw lineup a lot more, but at the same time I'm amazed by the engineering envolved with some of these newer all wheel drive systems and motors bmw is producing. Also how do you classify a 1 series being useless and overpriced? Granted they should've brought the 116 and the 118 into states for a more economical affordable bmw, but a 135 is far from useless. Making a thread like this shows nothing but ignorance.

BAN.

Moderators, where are you!?
I had an opportunity so see other threads posted and commented by Mr.Adolf and nothing but blasphemy. Is this an invitation for other members to behave like this, is this what this forum is becoming?

Sincerely,
M.N.

^Welcome to the 2000's. It has to be a "crossover", or a "SAV" now.

But the X6 really can't be classified as a wagon, it's much too tall.

HellrotFan96
06-23-2009, 02:48 PM
X6 looks like it was an X5 that was just compressed into a wagon form

sprocket1200
06-23-2009, 11:58 PM
yup a wagon it is. looks can be deceiving. Heights as follows:
X6 67 inches
x5 69 inches
minivan 69 inches
crossover 65 inches

530iT 57 inches

enjoy your station wagons!
and if you are fighting to the death that it is not a tall station wagon, then it is within inches of a minivan...

I guess beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.

In pictures, I really was not taken by the X6.

In person, it blew me away - literally love at first sight! I had to have it.

People honk and give me thumbs up in traffic, almost everytime I stop for gas, someone comes over and asks about the X6, and I have come out from shopping to find a person standing near the X6, waiting for the driver to come out so they could ask questions and look inside.

Strangely, this never happened when I was driving a Montana Mini-Van several years ago - or, with the Mazda 6 Sport Wagon that just went off lease.
