Has this happened to any one. I find if I park on a slight incline or even a decline,that when I start car the temp gauge is over at 2 oclock. Is this normal or is my aux fan not kicking in.

Water level to low?

Do you have the black or yellow expansion tank. The black tank has the red float stick so it is easy to tell what the correct level should be.If yellow tank replace ASAP.
