Just wanted to thank Ed for taking time out his busy schedule to ship me a pair of OEM rear cut springs. Not only did it arrive fast, it was free, and well packaged. Thanks.
I am more than grateful to all the others (8eight, Wuffer, The Texas Puppies, Koizumi, Ichiban etc)who respond to my numerous novice posts and emails.
Very much appreciated.:)

I am curious to see a picture of these cut springs.
Just wondering if anyone could do it. Guess the trick would be to cut without overheating the spring so that temper is not lost?

Thanks for the kudos guys!
It is VERY easy to cut the spring without heat damage. I use an angle grinder with a 5 inch thin kerf abrasive cutting wheel(available at Home Depot), Takes about a minute to cut thru and the heated area is only about 1/8 inch into the spring. The spring as cut will go in the rubber end and compress almost flat to the ramp that is in the rubber perch. I suggest that end be put at the top perch, not in the wishbone perch, doesn't really matter just my preference.
This next step isn't necessary but-
For just a bit lower height and a slightly better fit into the rubber perch, I put the spring into the spring dyno and put about 250 lbs of force down on the spring, then I heat the first 1-3 inches of the coil to reshape it flatter, as the spring flattens, the force decreases and I stop heat and chill at about 130 lbs left. As the first turn of the coil sits in the rubber perch, the flattening doesn't have any effect on strength or spring rate.
That's it.

Springs are on. I am VERY impressed. Replaced springs, bushings, and upgraded my OEM bump stops to CSI ones.
Car handles like a dream.
Pictures to follow.
