ok, I finaly took the 8 out for a cruise (I needed it!) and From this drive I have many questions.

I have a 8/90 produced 850I automatic
done; wooke V1 chips ((still need to re-learn throttle)(haven'nt found a road)), plugs, checked wires ok,replaced caps and rotors (only one was bad), water pump, overflow tank, belts, fan and clutch, alternator, hoses, t-stat (that took out the pump!), fuel filters, blistine shocks/struts.

#1 Transmission, It seems that it shifts like a GM TH400 with a B&M shift kit, very firm everytime but at the same time it down shifts too (Driving in E D as the cluster says) I was led to belive that it may have a trans chip in it but so far have found that the dinnan envelope was just missing the other dme chip (found when I was swaping with wooke) Question here is How does your's shift and where is the TCM? I would like to make sure This is ok (I haven't driven another 8 to compare)

#2 My temp gauge, since I baught the car it has always set strait up when warm (is that normal?) also I have a VERY slight coolant leak (always full and blead before I drove it) It Is at the small T under the fan shroud (I cant find the part numbers for the clamps, hoses, or T)

#3 How does everyone like the ride on 18" rims, it may be my tires but, It seems sonthing changed from my miglia's(I baught the car with them) to the M-par's) kuhmo (they say as close to slicks as posible on the site (escata)) the next step up is the slicks with a little line to make them DOT legal.

#4 1/4 of the lights have gone out on my orriginal radio, Can it be repaired? or is this somthing I need to look into myself?

#5 more of a complaint.. now my OBC was cutting off pixels untill I drove 40 miles :mad, Oh well, with the present situation I have alot of time on my hands :help,

Oh, to those that said no compete would'nt hold up, It IS, looking for a new career :embarrasm

If you are laid-off or fired, then a "no-compete" doesn't mean shit.

#1 The EGS box is located above the passenger side battery.

#2 Temp gauge needle at 12 o'clock position is normal

#3 I had 18" M-parallels, went to a 17" Style 5 BBS wheel. (But I also have EIBACH springs and BILSTEIN set-up)

#4 Replace light bulbs

#5 Common problem

Look at diagram. I think you mean the vent hose #10.

The temp needle should be be just left of top center.

Fix cooling leaks immediately. These engines do not like overheating.
