I can't remember, I'd have to check my invoices. I'm thinking it was a little over $100.00? Give Charlie a shout and I'm sure he can let you know what the price is with our discount.

Love it when more comments come in about my 8's $100 pyjamas (lingerie?) than the $100,000 GTR next to it. Hah... but I guess this IS an 8 forum. :D

Just dont use launch control.. nissan is being pretty duplicitous with the warranty and voiding it when you shatter your first gear in the transmission...which WILL happen if you launch the vehicle more then a dozen times or so during the lifetime of the car. It costs $20,000 to replace when they void your warranty. Someone i know is participating in a class action with nissan at the moment over this very issue.

Yeah, and don't dyno it. Or disconnect any electronics. Or anything, practically.

It's a sports car, but apparently you're not supposed to drive it as such.

Man, I've seen a flurry of GTR's lately in LA.

Had a Tempo a long time ago. Didn't last long, it blew up on the fwy. The whole thing melted into a ball. What a blast, haha!

Really? I've only seen one. Was on the highway, hooning in light traffic. I look behind me and am like, oh, what, is that A GTR? Flies right past me, multiple CL within seconds.

Perhaps going >100 in light traffic isn't a wise idea? lol

One of the owners of a Deli in Macarthur Park here in LA owns one. It's always parked in the lot on 7th near Alvarado.

meh, I don't like Nissan's look. All the cars look like altima's. I've seen a couple GTR's and my reaction is, oh cool a GTR but its not like, HOLY F&*^& thats a viper?! I exclaimed that when I noticed it like half a mile behind me on route 3 in Massachuessetts, so distinct.

Ask him/her to trade you for a day.:) I am sure he/she is curious as to how the majestic 8 drives.

I actually thought about that today on the road when I saw a GTR, and thought to myself "oh thats just a G37 on drugs". Nothing about the GTR to me says wow - in exception the performance. Pretty neat non the less.

I'm not impressed with the GTR, neither was Top Gear. Drives like $hit supposedly. Looks like lots of cash for very little car.

I agree, never drove one, but it looks like 100% plastic in person (albeit somewhat well executed aesthetically). It lacks some sort of classic charm IMO. I don't understand why folks would drop such big $ on an 'idea' or an 'ode' to a bigger concept. I'd rather pick up a Maserati GT. Slower, yes. Technologically minimal, yes. But classy IMO. Just a thought, or two :D

You're right, I guess that's what it's all about. I presume these facts are what makes the GTR exciting for some people. I heard that Nissan voids the warrantee if there's any aftermarket tampering done on the car--even real minor stuff.

I'd take a new Porsche Gt2 over a GTR any day, but its still one hell of a car to be parking next to.

Absolutely! I'd take a E31 B12 over it, The GTR is not pretty or comfortable, It was built for one reason, To kick!!!! You have to spend lots to keep up with it and don't let a bend in the road occur, It'll disapear then, If you see some youth driving one, It's probably better to get out of it's way.
That subaru weighs 2.5 tons Harry!-)

Also only came in automatic gearboxes - fail on behalf of Subaru.

Yeah, it was a pretty heavy car with an auto tranny, but it seems as if Subaru accomplished their goals with these cars even if it wasn't too much of a competitor for the 3000GT's by Mitsubishi.
