Well, last Sunday was Euro Day at the 2009 Greenwich Concours D’Elegance in Greenwich, Ct. I had the Dinan 8 there among all of the amazing cars in attendance. Imagine my surprise when I got there and was directed to the ‘supercar ring’. I was parked in a circle with a Ferrari F430, Ferrari F40, Lamborghini’s (Diablo, Murcielago, Gallardo, and 2 Countach’s), Lotus Esprit, a one off race car, Nissan GTR, BMW M1, and an Acura NSX.

I don’t have the pics off my camera yet, but these have been posted on the Internet:

Overall, tons of people came to see the car and took pictures of it. I didn’t think anyone would care about it with such amazing rides on either side, but I got quite a bit of action.

Ill post my pics soon, but here are more of the entire event: http://www.supercars.net/gallery/119513/2069/1.html (http://www.supercars.net/gallery/119513/2069/1.html)

Thanks,

Beautiful 8 XTREME...... Seems to me like your only real competition was the M1 right beside your car:D

Hi,

I was the guy with the Henna Red M1 next to you. Actually too close to you lol. I never got any good pitures of my car at the show and was hoping to find some. There was one of our cars on a fox 61 website but that is the only one I found. Did you see anymore of my M1?

Nice to have meet you.

I also saw the pic of our cars together on the Fox 61 website. As for parking close together.... I'm glad we were that close because that 91 year old guy was having a hard time parking on the other side of me!

Heres a beautiful pic:

Ill go through my pics at home and see what I have of your car. I really didn't take many pictures though.

I started out with a degreaser in a spay bottle and used different sized brushes on all of the under hood parts. I rinsed everything off with a gentle spray from the hose.

I did NOT get anything near the top of the engine. I took off the engine cover and cleaned that off the car and reinstalled it. The rest of the engine was done by hand so no water could foul anything.

Such a pretty color. Great, beautiful car. Ohh wait...mine is the same silver. ^_^ Thanks...will start getting my brushes ready this weekend...or planning a trip to Cali?

BTW...what are the main maintenance difference compared to the regular 8 to a Dinan? You have to regularly maintain the turbo? If so, DIY or get ready for lots of $$$ spending?

The only difference that I have noticed is that the car is more fun to drive with the added power... and it requires 93 octane gas. I only drive it about 700-800 miles per year so it hasn't required very much maintenance at all. In my opinion, these cars were very well built and require the same amount of maintenance as the stock 8 series cars. Now, if you have one that’s been driven hard or abused, I'm sure it wouldn't be a pretty site... like the one that GregT posted many years ago.

Thanks for the info. Nope...but don't mind having one. Just was wondering what it needs extra to maintain. Why only 700-800 miles/yr? If you need help.... ^_^ I didn't see GregT...but Tx's white Dinan looked good too. Lucky you! How much did you pay for her if don't mind asking...

Judge: Why's this rear valance cover missing for your tow hook?:confused

Xtreme: Its not for a tow hook, it's a connector for the parishoot because my brakes won't hold. I took it off before I entered the show grounds.

Judge: :embarrasm Ohhh, I see. So, did Dinan work with NASA to produce landing gear for this spaceship?

I have a few of your car. Whats your email address?

There were a ton of people taking pics, but I don't know how to get a hold of any of them. Someday they will update their website with the winners.... but I have no idea. Once you drive by, you are out!
