Have an 2009 X6 5.0 with bluetooth option. Recently, I bought the iphone interface that allows you to have the phone inside the center armrest while it charges and uses the car antenna. The instructions indicate that you must have the BMW assist function for it to work. I do not have this option installed. Do you know if this is required for the phone to function properly when placed in the interface?
