The wheel in my X3 works perfect but isn't doin it for me.
Ive seen a fair number of DIYs that show my MF wheel being replaced with a E39 M wheel with multifunction buttons.
So I got one w/ airbag.
Problem...No slip ring.
Question: Will the slip ring from my OEM X3 wheel fit with My E39 Wheel?
Or do I need a E39 ring.
Or am I SOL.

Part number from the inside of the wheel is:
3234-2228 230.9
and
Single stage airbag has printed on it in blue marker: 99' BMW528
thanks
Forum provided details for part # 32 34 2 228 230 shows my wheel actually goes to E36 and Z3.
So my 5-series friend liked how this M-wheel looked in his 5 series, but it may not have been totally compatible. And as far as it working in my X3...
... I might have an M-wheel for sale that fits Z3 and E36.

this wheel will not fit as the slip ring is mounted on the actual steering wheel on the e36

But I think you can use it in some other ways. If you want to sell it then tell me its price?
