View Full Version : Bilstein Coils or Meisterschaft Titanium ?
Im-Quik 08-19-2003, 12:53 PM What to get. HRE are going to be ordered. Only reason why I ask this is because I live in an area where there are so many dips and my driveway is at an extreme angle. If I was going to get coils I would want to drop my car at lease 1 1/2 " . Let me know what you guys think.

NAZology 08-19-2003, 01:39 PM Thats a tough one. Get the coilovers cause you have HREs, just makes sense to have them accompany one another. I think you will be very happy with the result. Good luck with whatever you decide. :buttrock
Kevlar 08-19-2003, 01:52 PM Instead of getting the Meisterschaft Titanium... why not get a non-titanium exhaust and coils! They are about the same price.
If you get the HREs and don't lower it some it's going to look like a 4x4.

The 4x4 look was what I was going for !!! :buttrock . However I have to choose one or the other. Can't have them both. I am a poor college student who has to pay for his own mods.

bilsteins @$1200, exhaust $1200= $2400+/-
titanium exhaust $2500-$3000
Kevlar has a good idea

Listen to them. Ti will be for bling only.
PSS9 from Bimmerparts.com 1089 shipped
Borla exhaust from truner 900 + ship
$2000 you got both and you'll love it.
But PSS9's will totally wake up the handling of your car!:alright
potpie 08-19-2003, 03:57 PM ti tips dont even look good. The regular ones look much cleaner

Aww, poor baby. :bawl
Your idea is economically fabulous-- you're poor, yet opt for the most outrageously expensive items for no apparent reason!
Genius!

But seriously Im-Quik what is it you are trying to accomplish?
I can't tell you how much better the M3 handles with the PSS9 kit! Rails is the best way to describe it!
GabbyGM3 08-19-2003, 08:26 PM The Titanium exhaust sounds better than the Borla and I like the flamed blue tips. It saves about 25Lb.s too. I love the PSS9's though. My JaWeb has them and his car handles and rides great. I got the H&R's and I like the ride but would rather the PSS9's if could change them later on.
JMWeb 08-19-2003, 10:17 PM Considering your tight budget, i would definately drop the car b4 adding an exhaust.
The 4 X 4 Look is really not my taste.
I suggest getting the pss9s b/c you can adjust the height to your liking (you can make them higher than springs, etc).
As someonw stated, the Ti exhaust is for bling bling purposes and for extremist in weight savings :evil2

Exactly my point...
Im-Quik 08-19-2003, 11:58 PM Did not know bimmerparts.com sold it for that cheap... I was going off Renn-sport.net . You guys do make a solid point.
Only thinking TI exhaust b/c of the bling factor, not too many people have it. But very good point in suggesting lower exhaust and coils. I can only imagine HRE with 4x4 settings.
Have any good ideas about getting up on my driveway if I lower my car. I have one of those driveways that go down to get up. My car barely makes it by maybe a 1/4 of an inch while backing out.
MattMan 08-20-2003, 12:29 AM Ti exhaust is not bling.. it's more a weight saving thing.. but I agree.. it's not worth the money. That's why I went with SUS stainless steel.
Thinking about getting KW v2.. thoughts?

Thought about it. On a $$ constraint. Was planning on using other funds for Euro Rotors since I can't afford a BBK.

Sideways ;)
Im-Quik 08-20-2003, 11:04 AM Sideways ;)
I do sideways now. Once I get the coils I will try to lower my car even more. I was thinking about putting 2x4 by the gutter so I have a little higher plattform to go up onto. Don't want to scrap the ACS lip..
