I went to my local Pd and had my last two of three written off that I received from the CHP.check your city's ordinance and local laws. Or if you can prove your car came with the tint some came with a glazing option.anyways theres also the Paper test: place a piece of white paper with normal print type on it like a paragraph worth in the center and place on the inside of the glass if you can read it on the out side in the shade(Do this as well when they inspect your tints light transfer) then you should be able to have a PD officer sign it off...:)
Good luck..
on my very last one I just paid the 180.fine too many hoops to go through just to maybe get it signed off.

My sister got pulled on her way to school by Mr. Welch (the Saratoga bike cop that hands out a metric fuckton of tickets like candy).:(

No front plate, tint, and exhaust.

man it figures the day after I posted my reply on here for this thread I get pulled over by a CHP and got a fix-it for my gosh darn tint... what a bugger....
Anyways im going to do the best way to get one signed off....buy used un-tinted glass windows to swap out and take in to get it writen off, then pop the tinted onees back in lol....that way in the future I can go in the same day and have it signed off...lol

Oh hey,
I just wanted to post my latest way to get a ticket signed off... I just took my glass out and went down to the local CHP office and had them sign it off.... For California... law says that you do not have to have the driver and passenger side windows....only just a windshield.
So You can take the glass out and show them the glass is not in the door by makeing the regulator go up and down and they will sign it off.......Im still going to get a set of clear glass windows for my next ticket,so I can just get it signed off the same day they write the ticket....lol going to mess with them since they keep messing with me ...hehe:buttrock

Hey Euro 323is, how did you get the ticket signed off? I got a correctable ticket in June for tinted windows and correctable no front lic plate. Then today driving home I got another ticket for the same shit, this time he put non-correctable for both. Any help in getting this shit signed off would really help. Thanks.

Is that even possible? My friend had basically the same thing happen to him, and he showed the LEO his previous ticket and said he had an appointment for a tint removal the next week and the officer let him go.

The no front plate you're kinda fucked for though.

I tried telling him that I got a ticket for it already and that I have made an appointment to take off the tints and called DMV to order the front plate. He said sign on the ticket or goto jail - I tried debating with him a little and he was ready to put me in handcuffs and take me to jail for a tint ticket - what an asshole!

Anyways if anyone knows where I can get the stupid ticket signed off - would greatly appreciate it, thanks!

taking out the windows would work until they catch on to you. they obviously know what you are planning to do once the ticket is signed off. so when they catch you with the windows back on they will most likely just give you an uncorrectible ticket.
