I have a Smoke Silver 1986 190e 16v roller/shell for sale. This car is a former parts car. Does not come with any driveline, body kit is gone, some of the interior has been removed like the seats, and the suspension is missing springs, shocks, and rear sway bar (although I can include front shocks, rear springs and strut mounts to make it easier to move around depending on price). Car will roll as wood blocks have been placed to keep the suspension working (talk about stiff hahahahaha)

The car has a clean title with about 190k on the clock. Would make a perfect starting place for a race car or hopped up street car. 190e 2.3-16's make great race cars, with their Cosworth designed cylinder head and the multi link rear suspension (revolutionary at the time). Of the 20k built worldwide to satisfy group A FIA homologation specfications for DTM racing only 2000 were imported to the US in 1986 and 1987. These cars are a factory bred racer, and the only race car to ever come with a hood emblem. This car is the reason why the iconic E30 M3 was built, and today this car can be made into an E30, E36 and E46 M3 killer for a fraction of the cost of any of those fine bavarian hot rods.

This car is going to be crushed if not sold, and as of right now I don't have the heart to do that. Of all the 16v's I know most have been parted or crushed meaning that while 2000 were imported 20+ years ago maybe only 1000 survive. This is a very rare car, and the fact that it has never been crashed and has a clean title make this a perfect candidate to be rebuilt.

I have an engine in need of a rebuild that I can be bought as well. The block has 120k on it and is fine, it has low compression in one cylinder (like 20 psi low, I used to drive everyday with it so it is usable) but the head has been the victim of a broken chain and will need at least some new valves. I also have many other parts for the car as well. Engine is not included in the price and is extra.

Asking $1000 for the roller/shell, car will come with clean CA title. I am a little flexible with the price for the right person, and I have a ton of extra parts that could be bought or included with the car. Let me know if you are interested. Pictures upon request.

Well, I still have the kit for it and that could be purchased with the car. If someone is truly interested a deal can be worked out. I am flexible and mostly want to see the car go to the right home.

You would be right too. Even the springs, shocks and brakes transfer over. The 16v originally comes with 300e brakes. The 3 liter is the same as the engine in the 190e 2.6 only larger, and the w124 suspension is the same as the w201 suspension.

unfortunately true. However at $1k or less this car is significantly cheaper than an E30 M3 in similar condition. Honestly, from having had a few of both, the 16v without all the luxury bits is very similar to an E30 M3. My other 16v feels almost exactly like a well modded 16v. Its the 3 motor for the power seats and the 400lbs of useless luxury stuff that ruin the benzo.

Woah woah woah, when did I become the bad guy. I had a bad today and I don't feel like having people shit on my thread when I don't know them and I didn't ask. $1k is on the high side but not unreasonable. If someone is interested I will work with them on price. I just want people interested in my car to post up. Arrogant and blatantly negative pinions are not needed and are completely uncalled for. I have 2 of these things, I don't need 2, I just need 1. And since when is 20k worldwide and 2k in the US not rare? They are as rare as an E30 M3.

Nah its not like that, i was actually trying to sorta defend your price. As mentioned im pretty sad i let it go but I needed the money more than a project at the time.
