i am in for an e36 sedan:)

can you put up the group buy numbers and pricing too?
and so everyone knows....mms paints too, so hurry up and get in on this group buy:buttrock:

this is probably the best price around with this gb plus for the people looking to have thier moldings painted, mms will do it for much less than a body shop will charge.

looking good guys:)

the price should be reasonable, especially with the group buy.

victor said he could do $199 shipped to the door when it was only like two people. now we have 7 people though:)

and for painted moldings add $100 for paint i believe...not a bad price for painted moldings shipped. painting the moldings can be expensive at a reg. body shop, so people take advantage of this:)

so we have 7....c'mon people...who wants some, who wants some!

The M3 moldings are the same shape and size as your front/rear bumper moldings. The regular 3 series moldings are thicker and narrower, sticking out more.

$100 is a good price Victor but Brian and I are friends with a guy that runs a body shop and we send and give him a lot of business so we can get it done for almost nothing. And I am pretty confident it will hld up, he knows what he is doing....;)

mr. happy: i believe that you can reuse the old clips, just be careful taking the old moldlings off.

so it is a few bucks cheaper than pacific bmw which isn't bad, and if you are looking to have them painted it is a pretty sweet deal as well.

You're right, i didn't notice that. I guess I was confused by the talk of painting them. In that case, why would anyone have them painted, when you'd then have the bumper moldings to still be painted... :dunno

I'm gonna hold off for now, I'm pretty sure my bodyshop guy gets these for the same price if not less.

thanks

1995red318i
08-19-2003, 09:12 PM
no problem...
and i am pretty sure that the guys that are having them painted are probably getting a body kit of some sort or just having the other moldings painted as well.

but $100 for the side moldings painted isn't bad which is why i am jumping on the deal, plus i am ordering a rieger kit soon too so the moldings won't go on till the kit is on as well.

M325M
08-19-2003, 09:55 PM
Just to clarify about reusing your old clips...you can't use your old clips. You will need to purchase the special "m-tec" clips from the dealer at a whopping $1.80 which adds up in a hurry. When I added the M3 moldings to my 325 I had to buy another 15 clips which added up to another $30.

1) Do you have the front and rear bumper mouldings I could have thrown in with my order? Mine are extremely faded and somewhat damaged. What is your guys' price on these?

2) Can anyone supply pictures of these painted gloss black on a black (schwartz) coupe?

vapor
08-20-2003, 02:17 AM

linearx: if you are thinking about having them painted i would say go for it! looks clean on a black e36! and instead of having your front and back moldings replaced, why don't you paint those as well?

25 is a lot of people, we might be able to attain that number, but i am pretty sure we can do 20. we already have 18.

I would paint them, but I think they're too damaged. The front right peice has a 2" indentation, though that might be fillable. I'll ask a local paint shop what they think.

What badges do these moldings coming with? You mention ///M3, but the first pic you posted has the ///M badges. Also, OEM ///M3 moldings don't come with badges, and you have to purchase the badges separately (like $20 a piece). So, does your $179 price shipped include ///M3 badges? Please clarify...

I noticed that the 3 series have grooves in the sides that are cut out just for the narrow 3 series moldings. Do the m3 moldings fit over this groove perfectly or will the m3 moldings stick out a little more on a 3 series then a m3? I have always wondered about this. If I can get the $ quick enough I will be in but I need to get some new dj equipment and that might rob me for everything I got right now. Ill fill you in soon though.

Sorry, but $4 isn't enough to make me jump in on this. No offense to MMS or anyone!

If these are OEM BMW, shouldn't the clips come with them already? I know when I purchased a new piece for our '95 M3, the clips already came with the molding trim.

I also called BavAuto and their molding kit comes with the clips.

Thanks for setting this up but it seems like a no-go for me.
