I made a trip to my local salvage yard earlier today (I won't name any names) looking for a glovebox latch for my car. While I was there, I decided to check out if they had any E36 engines for sale. Sure enough, he had an engine from a 94 325i, standard tranny, and an ecu. $600 for the engine, 400 for the tranny, and 125 for the ecu.

$1125 for a used engine? Does that seem a little high to anyone else?

On the plus side, I managed to find a glovebox latch for $10, much better than $80 for a new one. It's just a shame I forgot my damn wallet. :shifty

The transmission seems a little on the high side, but the engine and ECU seem relatively fair in price.
