Well just got my new insurance for my M73 and after putting it in the glovebox my glovebox latch decided to start acting up. It took a bit of slam to get it to close...
Any idea where I need to start fixing it...Is there something comoun should I know about it? Would some lubricant do the job?
Thanks

Everthing lining up ok? I saw a pdf rebuild on one from a RF member, Will look for it to see if it could help, In the mean time, I would check to see that the latch is aligned correctly and that the latch screws and lock is tight for starters.

I had mine act up once (slightly) the next time i tryed to open it wouldn't, thanks to Tom it's fixed now and I see a week point, by the way still have some parts if it happens to you, as long as it is the lower latch.
Edit; I have a machine shop that is helping me with a fix :)

On mine the screws loosened a bit and the latch slipped downward slightly (causing it to only close when slammed) Tightening the screws and sliding the latch back up fixed it.

So finally got to fixing this... Imagine, it took me over two months to get to fix this... The latch two screws were loose, I did lined the latch up at best and it does work now, but I have to push a bit harder to close. Is this normal, or should I still play with the latch adjustments? I don't have to slam it anymore, just push it a bit harder....

If it looks like the glove box is centered and correct, I would probably ad a thin amount of grease where contact is made and leave it, It's no fun getting the glove box itself a 100% centered on the dash by adjusting it on the hinge, Atlease i didn't enjoy it.
