OK, has anyone had a 5-speed conversion done here on their car? Mines in the process....and was just wondering what peoples experiences have been>? time wise? quality wise? price wise? business wise?

The job shouldn't take any longer than a clutch job, really. I've only interacted with Euro Depot once, when I bought an oilpan from them.

Pedals install, slave install, DS swap, torque converter swap for flywheel all add time on top of a clutch job.

Huh?? I think it takes just a bit longer than a clutch install.

I deal with their used parts all the time. Never had any problems with them.

Really? Cause everytime I call about a used part they NEVER have any.

I've called looking for Used:

Radio
OBC
MAF Sensor
Front Valence
Brake Calipers (rebuilt/used whatever)
Antennae Assembly
Fan

and some more that I can't remember off the top of my head.

F*ck those guys, they advertise as a used parts place but never have any, and every time they try to sell me some shltty japanese aftermarket part.

Don't waste your time, just buy from Doug at TMS.

are people arguing against FredK? he just did an e36 cooling system overhaul yesterday during his lunch break.

Only purchased once because I found way cheaper parts from other places... Prices are pretty high to pay for their expensive overhead.

I've bought almost all those things from then and they match prices if I find it cheaper elsewhere. :dunno I haven't bought anything for my e39 from there (last purchase from them was like a year and a half ago) so maybe things have changed.

I hate TMS customer service. I get talked down to there on every occasion. I feel like you aren't getting any respect from them unless you are dropping ridiculous money every time your purchase something and the people that work there get annoyed with answering very simple questions (yes i've had the same experience every time).

:dunno I don't know Fred and am talking about euro depot. Unless he works there. :dunno

Once again I don't share the same experiences but maybe things have changed. I seem to be the only person in the region that has good experiences with them. haha

Its a 98 540/6 Sport. Not an M-sport.

Agreed 110%, but the prices can't be beat and that's what I'm there for.

:lol

Nah, everyone is right, the job should take a little longer than a clutch job, but not THAT much longer... maybe 2 hours of labor on top of a regular clutch job.
